Hey VPClass!
I was so excited to see these thrown up on the blog! Here is my feedback and my faves. I am going to go in order...
Sabotage
Ok, this video was so stinkin' awesome that I had to watch it 3 times! I could tell it was a riff on a Beastie video, but I love how they did it. Especially impressive was the use of freeze frame and graphics, like when Nick Campbell as The Big Bunny would fly up on screen- I loved that freeze frame, the look on Nick's face almost made me choke on my coffee. I also thought you guys did an awesome job on trying to tell a story with your video. The action shots, like Nick jumping over the handrail and the flying kick in the air were so good!
The costumes were terrific!!!!!!! When The Rookie popped up from behind the trash can, I knew I was in for a good show. So, just to get this out of the way- Sabotage group- this video was my absolute favorite. It's all about entertainment, baby, and you guys entertained!
In a Cave
I did really like the back and forth stuff you did with the music in the beginning. It's pretty cool. My main complaint is that your video is so literal. If they mention passports, hair or glasses, that's what we see on the screen. I had to listen to the song again a couple of times to try and figure out what this song is about, because I know it isn't really about hair growing back in your head (although I did think you did a good job with that effect. My favorite shots of all were the graffiti walls. They look so incredible. So, overall- nice job.
Secret
I like this song so much I am going to stick on my iPod. I had really mixed feelings about this video. What I thought was weird was I wasn't sure what the secret was they they were trying to keep? Was it that Scream guy was going to whack them with a pole and kill them? Was it that they were secret agents and something went horribly wrong? Anyway, on to what I loved. I actually thought that the kid who did the singing was very realistic and believable in the beginning. The color changing effects on the gloves were very awesome looking. The "spy-vision" effects were so good, I freaked out. I loved them. The grainy effect was really terrific. I loved it, LOVED it. Overall- great job.
Too Legit- oooh, ow- MY EYES. 'nuff said. Some of the moves did entertain me, however. I don't even know what else to talk about?
Fallen Angel- I didn't think I'd hear this song today! There was some good stuff, but EVERY ROSE HAS IT'S THORN, so here is both the goods and the bads. I couldn't follow the story you were trying to tell, however the air guitar sequence was hilarious! I think your group looked like you had NOTHIN' BUT A GOOD TIME. And the cell phones out- that is great. I'm old enough to remember burning my thumb on a lighter at a Quiet Riot concert.....
Freshmen
This video was a top contender for me. I think the best parts for me were when you guys were just filming each other hanging out. It totally illuminates the main idea of your song. Those were my favorite parts. I loved the shots of the curly haired guy laughing, the group hanging out (although I don't get the disgusting shoe thing). I also thought the sequences shot in the bathroom came out really good.
Can't wait to see the next batch! Dang, I wish I was in this class- what fun!

Thank you for the comment, Mrs. Nazerath. I was the one who made "Secret" I really appreciate your feedback. The problem with the story, was that i was going to have more things describing the story. The story was supposed to be; The main guy, me (who was singing in the beginning), receives a call about a bag that will be placed in a field with high powered explosives. These explosives are to be taken and used in either a mob hit, or something like that. We needed to go in disgiuse so that we remain undercover. Yet the Scream guy, found out who we were and had to deal with us....using a 15ft long PVC pipe.
I just didnt have enough time unfortunately to film and add the other parts i wanted to add.
